What we do
The Tisuka Foundation expands opportunity through education, accredited skills, and social enterprise. We focus on underserved communities with a special emphasis on girls and orphans.
1. Offer free STEM education to underserved students.
2. Provide free vocational training courses fostering employability and youth skills improvement (TEVETA-accredited Solar PV Installation).
3. Donate reusable sanitary pads to combat menstrual absenteeism and keep girls in school.
4. Run the Tisuka Founders' Lab — a social enterprise offering hands-on business modelling, problem–solution fit, and financial projections, combined with comprehensive pitch training. We don't just show pitch videos — we build winning pitches from scratch so founders can convincingly present their ideas.
Our Mission
We advance opportunity through clean energy access, accredited vocational skills, entrepreneurship training, STEM education, and community safety initiatives — with a special focus on girls and underserved communities.
Programmes
STEM Workshops
Interactive STEM and climate education sessions reaching hundreds of learners at a time, offering career guidance, myth-busting around STEM, and real-world inspiration from female engineers who join virtually from South Africa and Botswana.
Tisuka Sunshine Scholarship
Free STEM and TEVETA-accredited solar PV skills training for underserved youth-especially girls and vulnerable children-combining theory, hands-on installation, mentorship, and pathways to green jobs.
Tisuka Care and Comfort Programme
Provision of free reusable sanitary pads and menstrual products (comfort kits) to underserved girls to combat menstrual absenteeism, protect dignity, and ensure no learner misses education or training because of period poverty.
Mentorship for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities
Inclusive entrepreneurship support for founders with disabilities, offering practical business skills, confidence-building, and pathways to sustainable livelihoods.
Tisuka Founders' Lab
